Product Info   Ingredients   Each 17 g sachet contains: Avemar pulvis 8.5 g (dried fermented wheat germ extract 63.2%, maltodextrin, silicone dioxide), fructose, natural orange flavour, sodium chloride. Contains gluten.   Recommended Dosage   For average weight adults [~ 70 kgs], one dose is one sachet per day, which is prepared by emptying one sachet into 150 mls [1/2 cup] of water [or soft drink, hydrogen carbonate free mineral water – not containing vitamin C, ascorbic acid or E 300], stirring until dissolved, and drinking immediately. It is recommended that Avemar is prepared and consumed 1 hour before a meal [most consume it first up in the morning]. Persons with body weights above 90 kgs, should consume 2 sachets per day [preferably first up in the morning and again 1 hour before the evening meal].   Side Effects   Soft stool is infrequent, unsettled stomach and nausea are very infrequent side effects.   Contra-indications   During pregnancy and breastfeeding, organ or tissue transplantation, malabsorption syndrome, gluten sensitive enteropathies [celiac sprue], fructose intolerance, hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.   Known interactions: Avemar should be consumed 2 hours before or after preparations with vitamin C.
